My name is Alec Seever. I am a Birmingham-Southern College alumni and former student-athlete. Now, I am continuing my studies at the University of Georgia.
I aim to create nuanced narratives fused with monsters that drive the source of curiosity and fear. Film critic Robin Wood defines "the monster" as a reflection of societies abnormalities. Regardless if the monster holds a physical or intangible body, I find this to be a crucial element of my budding scripts and creative thinking. Outside of the genre, I wish to apply my studies extensively throughout the entertainment industry.
Influences for my current visions include Eraserhead (Lynch 1977), It Follows (Mitchell 2015), and Skinamarink (Ball 2022).
On a broader scale, I am always eager to challenge myself with new, grueling tasks. Competing at the collegiate level as a swimmer has opened my eyes to the true nature of work. To truly want something is to not stop at any point. My balance of cooperation and individualism is key.
